Good afternoon!

Several weeks ago, while listening to my daily Bible reading, the Lord began speaking to me. He has since had me go back and re-read multiple English and French translations. The following are a few things He wanted to highlight from one passage, followed by the word that He spoke to me.

THE SIGN OF MY COVENANT

CAN YOU SPOT A COUNTERFEIT?

I will start out today with a Scripture passage that I heard in my daily Bible reading. As I listened to the words that the Lord put forth concerning the covenant He was establishing as Noah came out of the ark, several things in particular jumped out at me.

(I have placed an English version below for your benefit, but was originally listening in French, and later studied it out in several different French and English translations).

Genesis 9:8-17, CSB

8 “Then God said to Noah and his sons with him, 9 ‘Understand that I am establishing My covenant with you and your descendants after you, 10 and with every living creature that is with you — birds, livestock, and all wildlife of the earth that are with you — all the animals of the earth that came out of the ark. 11 I establish My covenant with you that never again will every creature be wiped out by floodwaters; there will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.’

12 And God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all future generations: 13 I have placed My bow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember My covenant between Me and you and all the living creatures: water will never again become a flood to destroy every creature. 16 The bow will be in the clouds, and I will look at it and remember the permanent covenant between God and all the living creatures on earth.’ 17 God said to Noah, ‘This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and every creature on earth.’”

The first item of note was the name given to The Flood itself in my French Bibles:

« La Grande Inondation » or « Le Déluge »

(“The Big Inundation” or “The Deluge”)

Okay, so we have a deluge of water, obviously… or you could certainly say there was a grand inundation of water! (Just hang on to these terms until tomorrow, as the Lord will refer back to them in another message!)

The second thing that stood out was that the covenant He established was not only for Noah and his family, nor was it just for all peoples of the earth. No, this covenant was one made with every single living creature that came out of the ark, as well as all of their future generations: every bird, every cow, every wild boar… every creature that crawls upon the face of the earth, both clean and unclean. And yes, it was also a covenant with Noah, his family, and all of mankind, for every generation. The Lord will never again send water to destroy all flesh.

You can see that this, along with several other phrases, was repeated many times in the above verses. And, you may have heard that in Hebrew writing, when something is repeated, it is for strong emphasis, as in:

“Get this. This is super important! I really mean it!”

Which leads us to the third thing that was highlighted to me: The word covenant is used over and over and over! Within this 10 verse stretch, I counted it no less than seven times in the KJV, NKJV, ESV, and French BFC and LSG versions. Meanwhile, it was mentioned eight times in the CSB, NIV, and French PDV! Our God only needs to say something once to make it so, so when He says it 7 or 8 times, we can certainly expect that it is sure!

But perhaps most prominent to me on this particular day, and the basis for the word which the Lord then spoke, was that He placed the rainbow—the sign of His covenant—in the clouds. I’d never noticed that little detail before! And yet, this point about the clouds is repeated four times, so it is not without significance! Here is what He said to me:

“You’ve all seen by now how the enemy has tried to highjack the rainbow – the sign of My covenant with, not only mankind, but with all creatures of the earth! The enemy is a copycat. There is nothing original about him. Everything he does is a counterfeit, an illusion, a cheap knockoff, a perversion of that which is pure.

I am the Originator, the First and Last, the Beginning and the End. What I do is pure; what I institute is holy. Learn to spot the difference between what is real and what is a counterfeit, My people.

You know that the rainbow has been perverted to be a symbol of pride, flaunting in My face the perversion of My creation. But pride is what brought Satan down in the first place! I set My bow in the clouds as a promise to not destroy the earth with another flood. So, they think they can flaunt their rebellion and that I won’t do anything about it because of My covenant with them. It is truly a mockery and abuse of My grace.

But note that MY rainbow is ALWAYS placed in the clouds. That’s something they can’t do! They have plastered their rainbow all over flags, and shoes, and children’s clothing, and every little and big thing they can think of. Their flag is a meager attempt to hoist their copycat sign up into the sky. But they cannot place it in the clouds as I do with My sign. They have even put it on their airplanes. But have you ever seen an airplane that can rest in one place in the clouds? It’s ridiculous. Only I can place MY bow in the clouds.

The cloud represents My glory, My presence, My protection (remember the Israelites in the wilderness?), and My Spirit. Nothing they do and nothing they try to conjure up will EVER amount to My glory, My presence, My protection, or My Spirit.

So, when you need discernment in your culture, My children, look to Me. Look for MY glory and MY presence, and MY protection, and MY Spirit, and all of those counterfeits will start to become obvious and will no longer fool you.

When you cannot decide whether something is genuine or false, look to Me.

I AM the pattern.”
