As I lay in bed mulling over all of the election news, the Lord impressed Exodus 14 upon me.  In this passage we see that the Israelites, having just been set free from Egypt, are pinned against the Red Sea as Pharaoh's army comes after them to take them back into bondage.

What struck me is that the Lord STRATEGICALLY LURES Pharaoh to them, so that He can not only save the Israelites, bolster their faith, and carry out His purposes for them, but also EXPOSE the Egyptian army... in the middle of the sea... so that they will be destroyed and seen "no more forever!"

What is salvation and joy for the Israelites is, for the Egyptians, destruction and terror... but both sides see the power and might of the LORD!

Another thing that stood out is that as this is all unfolding, Moses is unwavering and calm.  This is because the Word of the LORD had already come to him, and he is standing confidently upon it.  When the Lord speaks, it's a done deal!  Notice also that the only part the Israelites play in this battle is walking forward in obedience.

After hearing so many prophetic voices for months and years speaking that the Lord is playing His "trump card," I believe that He is reminding me that no matter what it looks like, this election is a done deal. I am completely confident in that.  But additionally, He is saying that it is TIME for judgment:

"I have strategically lured the workers of iniquity into a place of exposure and demise."

Our role as believers at this point is not to fearfully scour every bit of election news, but to be at peace while we pray, watch, and magnify the Name of the LORD.

"And Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.  For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.  The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.'”

-Exodus 14:13-14, NKJV
