THE BIRDS
Word and Research from August 10, 2022 | Originally released by Truth-Justice-Mercy on August 16, 2022
Good evening!
They say that when you begin dreaming in a foreign language, you’ve really got it. Well, I’m nowhere close to that point. But no one ever told me way back in 9th grade about the day the Lord might begin to speak to me in French… It’s only happened a few times, and so far, He’s kept it quite simple.
In light of the below, if you know of anything newsworthy about “birds,” I’d love to hear about it!

LES OISEAUX
THE BIRDS
Wednesday August 10, 2022 – 4:00 pm and later
I was shopping in our local Walmart clearance aisle when I distinctly heard:
« Les oiseaux »
(Translation: The birds; Pronounced: lay ZWAH ZO)
I began to hear it over and over again as I worked my way through hardware, housewares, and then into the checkout line. The Lord even corrected my pronunciation as I began to repeat it. I came home, and as I was making dinner it started up again.
« Les oiseaux… les oiseaux… les oiseaux. »
Well, I didn’t know what this meant, but felt that it was a puzzle piece of sorts. Since it was in French, and He’s been speaking to me a lot about France lately, that’s where I began my search. Is it a political group? A code word? Or just something to do with birds? I found several things while looking:
Bird Flu
France says record 16 million birds culled in flu outbreak. As I dug in further, I discovered that the bird flu has actually been an ongoing worldwide problem in 2022 resulting in food supply issues. Well, we know that there is a LOT of funny business going on with our food supply right now, so it’s something to keep an eye on.
Wildfires
France's worst wildfires in 30 years force a rethink on managing forests. This ecological disaster is (obviously) affecting birds, as well as other wildlife. The article I found specifically discussing the bird disaster was only available in French, so I won’t include it here. But pray for all the people affected by these fires!
Pigeons
Thousands of racing pigeons vanish in French storm. “The Belgian Pigeon Federation called the results a catastrophe and accused the organisers of permitting the birds to take to the skies despite weather warnings.”
Drones
In France, birds are being trained to take down drones. Interesting tidbit.
