Good afternoon!
I pray that you all had a blessed and wonderful Passover and Easter, celebrating the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior! Thank You, Lord, that you have conquered death, sin, and the grave!
This is not what I’d planned to release, today, or any time, really. Multiple other things were on the plate to come out for April. But plans get altered… sometimes by a simple cold gone awry. It’s a high stakes season, and there’s a lot of battling going on. But we know Who Wins!!! Hallelujah!
I pray for all of you. I pray for strength in the battle. And, if you ever have specific needs that you’d like me to lift up, please let me know… because, I’ll probably be up in the middle of the night praying for exactly that!
Love to you all,
-Lana
JESUS WINS!
PART I
Monday April 3, 2023 – early morning
I awoke this morning to this word from the Lord:
“There will be a resurrection of My power.”
Hallelujah! I knew He meant that as we approach and cross into this Passover, Resurrection, and Pentecost season, we will discover His power at work in ways that we have not seen before. We will find that our spiritual authority seems to carry more weight and our prayers are more effective. We will see wickedness and injustice being overturned in our governments and in our culture, and no longer will the deeply entrenched system of evil seem to dominate every sphere! Praise God!! I sensed that this particular season is going to bring an exceptionally important shift. This is REALLY GOOD NEWS!!
But I also felt a heaviness that the immediate stretch ahead would be filled with challenges. The next word I heard was:
“Grueling.”
Several hours later, the Lord spoke again. This was a word specific to Holy Week. It was so clear, but… ummm… I don’t talk like that; nice Christians shouldn’t talk that way. So, to hear the Lord say it… well, yeah… I had to verify:
“It’s going to be a hell of a week.”
“Uh, Lord… did you just say that?”
“Yes, it’s going to be a hell of a week. It’s going to be a hell of a week.
It’s going to be a hell of a week, as all hell is unleashed before a resurrection of My power upon this earth.”
Just as Jesus had to go through the grueling pain of death upon the cross of sin and shame and rejection by the Father before descending to take the keys of death, hell, and the grave, we can expect to face challenges in this season. But what is on the other side? We have a glorious resurrected King who has conquered all! There will be a resurrection of His power and His Name upon this earth!
Okay. So then, what have we seen in the past few weeks? Well, let’s look at a sampling:
President Trump’s indictment, with (of course) the expectation of more to come.
A man—who claims he’s now a teenage girl—representing, among other things, women’s bras (Nike), women’s personal hygiene products (Tampax), and now… beer (Budweiser).
US allies and world leaders cozying up to China’s Xi Jinping.
Comatose people can now be declared dead for the harvesting of organs.
The outing of the UN-backed International Commission of Jurists’ report recommending the normalization of sex between adults and minors (yes… pedophilia).
And on, and on, and on it goes. A quick scan through news headlines and social media makes one feel as though we are very much living in the era of The Twilight Zone. The more I see, the more bizarre it gets. Yikes.
Lord, Jesus, help! There is no hope if You don’t step in. But You’ve said You are stepping in and exposing and uprooting all. And, we look forward to it expectantly!
PART II
Saturday April 15, 2023 - evening
And then, there has been the personal struggle since I received those words above. I’ve been sick. With a silly cold. That got stuck. And, knocked me out to where I could barely walk straight. It’s been like a slow-moving hurricane that zapped the life from me and kept my brain on lockdown (ha!). Absolutely ridiculous. But the Lord spoke to me again this evening:
“You’re in a showdown with Satan himself. In the crosshairs.”
I guess I knew this already. But this revelation just put more fight in me to start calling out what I was hearing triumphantly in my spirit:
“Jesus wins!
JESUS wins!!
JESUS WINS!!!”
No matter what the enemy tries to throw at us or thinks he can shut down… Jesus wins!!! And, I’m not going to lay down that easily. I began thinking of all that I’ve been contending for in prayer in recent weeks. Maybe I couldn’t do anything else while I was down, but I could still pray!
Day and night, the popcorn prayers and deep travails have gone forth for my family, my church, my friends, my government, world governments, our culture, my ministry, others’ ministries, and yes, my health. The enemy WILL NOT get the victory in these things! He WILL NOT have the final say! He will no longer be able to thwart, deceive, sabotage, hijack, or usurp what God has said will be!
There are times when we can hold our peace and rest as we watch God do the work from afar. But other times we have to march right into the enemy camp and take back what is being held captive… and what is God’s. That’s just exactly where some of the prayer warriors have been lately.
So, if you’ve been in a showdown with the enemy, if you’ve found yourself contending through grueling circumstances, if you’ve felt the weight as it seems that all hell has been unleashed in the world around us, remember this:
The Cross has the final word.
Death has been defeated.
Evil does not triumph.
Our Lord has conquered all.
The tomb is EMPTY.
There will be a resurrection of God’s power upon the earth.
And, Jesus. Wins.
Romans 8:31-39, NKJV
“31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
‘For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’
37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
